Plumbing Repair in Corona Del Mar

Over 50 Years of Coastal Plumbing Knowledge Behind Every Diagnosis

A lasting repair starts with identifying the failed component and understanding why it failed. We investigate visible leaks, recurring clogs, low water pressure, sewer backups, damaged fixtures, inconsistent hot water, and unexplained moisture in homes and businesses throughout Corona del Mar.

From original Flower Streets cottages to extensively remodeled coastal homes, plumbing systems can reflect several generations of construction and renovation. A recently updated kitchen or bathroom, for example, does not necessarily mean the piping behind the walls has also been replaced. At McKeown Plumbing We investigate the affected system, identify the source of the problem, and explain whether it calls for a targeted repair, drain cleaning, pipework, or replacement.

Residential & Commercial Plumbing Repairs in Corona del Mar

We repair the connected systems that carry water, waste, and gas through a property. Our work covers plumbing fixtures, water lines, drains, sewer lines, gas lines, conventional water heaters, and tankless water heaters.

Common problems we investigate include:

  • Fixture and pipe leaks: Dripping faucets, leaking valves, damaged supply lines, and moisture near walls, ceilings, cabinets, or floors.
  • Drain and sewer problems: Slow drains, recurring blockages, backups, damaged sewer lines, root intrusion, and heavy buildup inside pipes.
  • Water heater failures: Inconsistent hot water, leaking tanks or connections, and performance problems affecting conventional or tankless models.
  • Gas line concerns: Suspected leaks, damaged piping, and other conditions that require qualified evaluation and repair.

When a practical repair can restore the system, we prioritize it over replacement. For older fixtures, that may mean tracking down a hard-to-find part instead of immediately recommending a new unit. When a problem involves plumbing installed or altered during an earlier renovation, we also assess how the affected components connect to the existing system before recommending the next step.

Camera Inspections, Hydro Jetting, & Trenchless Repair

Difficult drain and sewer problems require accurate information, not guesswork. We use sewer camera inspections to examine underground lines and locate blockages, breaks, root intrusion, and other visible damage.

For lines affected by heavy grease, scale, roots, or debris, high-pressure hydro jetting can clean the pipe interior. Because mechanical clearing and hydro jetting address different conditions, we evaluate the blockage and the pipe before choosing a method.

We’re also trained in cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining. This trenchless method places and cures a liner inside a qualifying damaged sewer line, creating a new interior surface with less excavation than conventional replacement. When an underground line needs attention, a camera inspection can help establish the location and nature of the problem before we determine whether cleaning, lining, or another repair method is appropriate.

These diagnostic and repair methods reflect our service standard: Clean. Safe. Efficient.

Repairing Older Coastal Systems & Navigating Local Permits

Corona del Mar’s housing includes original beach cottages, mid-century homes, and newer custom residences built alongside older properties. That variety means plumbing conditions can differ considerably from one address to the next. Some homes have undergone extensive interior renovations, while other properties may retain portions of their original plumbing or earlier modifications.

In the Village, compact lots and closely spaced homes can also make access to concealed piping and underground sewer lines an important consideration during repair planning. We assess the actual conditions at the property rather than assuming that every older home has the same plumbing issues.

Corona del Mar is part of Newport Beach, so the City of Newport Beach administers applicable plumbing permits and inspections. Permit requirements depend on the type and scope of work. Before starting a project, property owners should confirm the requirements that apply to their particular repair or replacement.

Licensed Plumbers Without Commission-Based Sales Pressure

At McKeown Plumbing, we’ve served Southern California for over 50 years as a locally owned company with deep roots in coastal Orange County. We’re licensed, bonded, and insured, with both a Class C Plumbing license and a Class A General Engineering license. These credentials support a broad range of work, from residential service calls and commercial plumbing repairs to larger infrastructure projects.

Our service technicians aren’t paid on commission. They investigate the problem, explain what they find, and recommend an appropriate response based on the property and the system’s condition, not a sales incentive.

We can assist customers in English, Italian, Spanish, Romanian, Russian, Indonesian, and Ukrainian. We’re also members of the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Laguna Board of Realtors.
